Cavalli Pizza is a Gem! (Texas Edition)
One Saturday, a friend asked me to go with them while they search for a new apartment. After we visited with a couple of apartment complexes, we decided to stop for lunch. We were going to visit this Bistro that we attended a few months back. I saw this sign that said Cavalli. I was not sure if the place was open for business. At times I can be a curious person. So I decided to open the door. It was a Pizza restaurant. I am a big Pizza fan!
We were greeted by the Manager, his name is Marcus as well. He told us about the history on how Cavalli Pizza were started. We appreciated how he took time out to welcome and chat with us. Cavalli also has a Banquet room for special occasions as well as a nice spacious patio area where they some time entertain live music.

I had the pleasure of dining at Cavalli Pizza in McKinney recently, and it completely blew me away. From the moment I stepped inside, I could feel the warmth and passion this place has for serving amazing food. The ambiance is cozy yet lively, with the perfect mix of a modern, rustic vibe. It’s a spot that’s perfect for family dinners, date nights, or catching up with friends.
Now, let’s talk about the star of the show—the pizza! If you love authentic Neapolitan-style pizza, this is the place to be. They use fresh, top-tier ingredients, and you can really taste the difference in every bite. I ordered the Diavola, which was loaded with spicy Italian sausage, fresh mozzarella, and a hint of basil. The crust was perfectly thin and crisp with a deliciously chewy center, baked to perfection in their wood-fired oven. You can taste that beautiful charred flavor in the dough that’s impossible to replicate without a traditional oven.
But Cavalli Pizza isn’t just about pizza! Their menu is packed with delicious options. We started with the Caprese salad, and the tomatoes were fresh and sweet, paired with creamy mozzarella and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. They have an excellent selection of wines, and their Negroni was expertly made—definitely a must-try if you’re a cocktail lover.
The service was top-notch from beginning to end. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, always ready with great recommendations. You can tell they really care about the food and the experience they provide.
Overall, Cavalli Pizza is a must-visit if you’re in McKinney or the surrounding area. It’s rare to find a place that checks all the boxes—great food, inviting atmosphere, and exceptional service—but Cavalli does it effortlessly. I can’t wait to come back and try more of their menu. Highly recommend!
